Me-Made-May’13 Signed up!!
20/04/2013 § 2 Comments
I signed up for Me-Made-May’13 today.
What is it??? it is great self challenge event for peoples who sew and also big communication space on web. I wear at least one of self made garment each day on May and post it or share it with peoples.
Why i wanna participate in MMM’13 project. i have huge size of wardrobe than other women who i know because i sew. i wear self made clothes almost everyday but also i never worn many of them. i do love to sew dresses especially. just beautiful dresses but it’s not always suitable for everyday my life. indeed with kids.
but anyway it makes me happy to make my dream clothes and keep them in my wardrobe for sometime. isn’t it wonderful to have choices for any of occation in your wardrobe?
I change clothes one or twice or sometimes three times a day depends my daily, hourly activities. it’s three kind of situation. Morning when kids are in school. Afternoon activities with kids which requires me being more sporty. Afternoon activities with or without kids which allows me to wear what i used to wear.
so this will be the great chance to re-organise my wardrobe. my target is intergrate forgotten clothes into my daily life and discover the holes in my wardrobe.
I don’t wanna any pressure for daily posting so i will post weekly.
It’s fun and should bring joy as same as i do sewing.

Sequin Sloppy Josephine Tee #6

My 2nd Sloppy Josephine Tee. Sequin front and back bodice with jersey sleeves.
All fabrics from my stash. i had only 70,80cm long this sequin fabric and didn’t know what to do for over 3 years. but perfect amount for josephine Tee. okay. it wasn’t enough for sleeves so i took black jersey from my left fabrics.
It has still too wide neck line though i narrowed and raised neck. i may need adjust once more next time. Yes. i’m going to make this pattern again!!!
Sloppy Josephine Tee#5

self dyed pink Sloppy Josephine Tee.
Pattern by Papercut.
Denim pants made by me few years ago. Pattern by Burdastyle magazine.
This is very loose, easy going Tee. easy to make and easy to wear.
I wanted to try wearble muslin and used Viscose(by Hanro) from my stash. i loved baby pink from original version and decided to dye it.
I made size XXS. size was perfect but i traced altered pattern again after this top. it has very wide round neck and i raised 3cm up and 2cm narrowed. one more thing i changed is hem line. it has straight ham line originally but i made curved hem line with different lengths front and back.
This is such a simple pattern and also versitile. you must self experience how they made this simple pattern beautifully using recycled paper. it feels great to make clothes with pretty, environment friendly pattern.

Elisalex Dress #4
31/03/2013 § 7 Comments
This is my Elisalex dress. This is a piece of dress with Love and Love.
I made many many of dresses but i don’t remember when i was so much careful to move to the every next step like this time. I spent quite long time than usually i do for a piece of dress but it was enough worth. I am very happy!!!
I used a pattern Elisalex by By Hand London(as most of you know). Size UK8 with no alteration except skirt length. This pattern has loooong skirt length(it may really maxi skirt for me???) so i shortend 12inch on pattern tracing and 2.5inch again later.
about bodice. I really love this bodice. it fits me perfectly. i can imagine another beautiful dress with Elisalex bodice + Charlotte skirt. I may try.
It’s Easter. spring and Easter and yellow dress. sounds perfect but it’s still so cold. I miss sunshine but this yellow dress cheers me up absolutely.
Elisalex got a zipper

Elisalex got a zipper now. It took me spend my afternoon. There was last minute change, colour of zipper. I was thinking black zipper during whole process but white colour popped into my mind when i just started to pinning zipper. It happens somethimes and it is the best sometimes. Right?
I followed exposed zip inserting tutorial by pattern runway.
I used 65cm zipper. marked 0.5cm inside from seam line for zip exposing. i measured half of zip teeth plus a little extra room to expose white zip band. after that did stay stich and applied fusing for stabilising.
so i may finish it earlier than sewalong. tomorrow……
